Museum Opens with Networking Event
In celebration of the reopening of the Sandy Spring Museum, the Olney Chamber of Commerce invites your to a networking mixer on Thursday, October 29 beginning at 5:30 PM. We will be able to spread out in the Doctor Bird Room, artifacts area and rear hallway.
Weather and daylight permitting, the Museum's Social Distance-Friendly, All Outdoor Sculpture Garden will be open for those wanting to take a self-guided tour of LIGHT: A Sculptural Solar Dance.
Under the reality of climate change, renewable energy offers solutions for the future. In this exhibit, artists use sculpture to explore the need for better environmental responsibility, re-imagining solar energy as an art form.
Picnic tables on the museum grounds will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
To ensure compliance with Museum and County guidelines, REGISTRATION is required. A maximum of 45 attendees will be accepted. All guests will need to adhere to face mask and social distancing standards.
For refreshments, a Food Truck is expected to be on site for purchasing snacks. However, this will be a BYOB event. NO liquid refreshments can be sold or provided by the Museum.
