    Sandy Spring Bank

I hope that you and your loved ones are staying healthy and managing well during this challenging time. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Sandy Spring Bank Foundation is donating over half a million dollars to community hospitals throughout the Greater Washington region. We want to do our part to help ensure that our hospitals and frontline healthcare workers have the supplies and support they need to get through this crisis.

Our Foundation is donating $50,000 to each of the following 12 hospitals: Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Doctors Community Hospital, Frederick Health Hospital, Howard County General Hospital, Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Loudoun Hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan, MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, MedStar Union Memorial, and MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

This is the most significant charitable contribution in Sandy Spring Bank’s 152-year history and since our Foundation was established. Our donation will support each hospital’s COVID-19 response and the specific needs at each location.

Our Foundation has a vision for all of our neighbors to have hope for a brighter tomorrow—and this can’t happen unless people are well. That is why we are making such an important investment in the health of our community.

On behalf of our more than 1,200 employees who live and work here in the Greater Washington region, we are so grateful for all of our healthcare professionals and every person who works or volunteers in our hospitals. As a community bank, these frontline workers and the people they care for are our neighbors, friends, colleagues, and clients. They represent all of us, and we are standing with them as they work to safeguard the people and the communities we love.
