About Us
Music Together® is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents or other primary caregivers.
Our approach is based on the belief that music is as much a basic life skill as language, and that all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate in music-making with confidence and pleasure. Integral to our program is the idea that young children respond best to music when surrounded by those with whom they have a close bond.
Consequently, the active participation of parents and caregivers is an essential part of the rich musical environment we create. Parents are given the tools to meaningfully stimulate their child’s music development regardless of their own musical background.
About Our Classes
We meet for 45 minutes each week for ten weeks to experience new songs, chants, movement activities, and instrumental jam sessions led by a licensed Music Together teacher skilled in music and early childhood education.
This all takes place in a fun, community-like, non-performance oriented setting.
Each term, there is a new song collection (9 collections, spaced over a period of three years) featuring original and traditional songs with a wide variety of tonalities, meters and cultural styles.
