Montgomery County’s Oldest African American Church to Host Sharp Street Community Day
Sandy Spring Museum, having displayed the church's historic documents and artifacts for many years, invites area residents to join them in honoring Sharp Street Church’s 195th anniversary. See photos and documents related to the church, as part of a fun filled cultural event. There will be lots of children's games, moon bounces, spirited music, soul food, and local vendors. The all-day community celebration will be held on the church's grounds on Olney-Sandy Spring Road, across from Sherwood Elementary School, from 11AM to 6PM, Saturday, September 23, 2017.
