ARTINA 2017 ExhibitName: ARTINA 2017 ExhibitDate: June 29, 2017 - September 30, 2017Event Description:
Wind your way through a sculpture park of original works of art situated on the museum’s rustic grounds. ARTINA 2017 creates awareness among visitors of the need to reconnect with nature and preserve nature for future generations. Art can serve as a mediator between nature and people to call public attention to the benefits of a healthy and environmentally meaningful and sustainable life.
The diverse, layered concept of ARTINA 2017 functions not only as an aesthetic stimulator to promote a creative and sustainable environment, it also helps us to understand the connection between humans and nature. Visitors will find beauty in materials and forms, and recognize their importance within living systems.
Juried by Ursula Achternkamp, artists include c.l. bigelow, Elsabé Dixon, Mary Annella “Mimi” Frank, Eve Hennessa, Martha Jackson Jarvis, Jin Lee, Cat Lukens, Raina Martens, Grant McFarland, Maryanne Pollock, Marc Robarge, Casey Snyder, and Diane Szczepaniak.
