President's Message
The Deepwater Horizon oil spill has been an unmitigated disaster on all fronts. However, boycotting BP is ill-advised on a number of levels. As most people know, the BP station in Olney is owned by Bob and Sandy Fletcher. The Fletchers are pillars of the community and have given back to the community on a grand scale. A boycott will not hurt BP, it will hurt Fletcher’s business, which employs 65 people, about half of whom are local students.
