Olney Chamber Scholarship Fund
Each year the Olney Chamber of Commerce demonstrates its commitment to our future by awarding scholarhsips to high school seniors from the greater Olney area. These scholarships are presented in the memory of J. Oland Harvey and Graham S. Little, former business leaders of the Olney community. We need your help to fund these awards. The amout of the award depends soley on the donations received from the business community. For more information contact the Olney Chamber at 301.774.7117. Please make your donation to this worthwhile fund by May 15, 2010.
National Night Out
National Night Out is a community wide event that focuses on Crime Awareness and Prevention. The Olney Chamber of Commerce cosponsors this evnet with the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department, the Montgomery County Police, the Maryland National Capital Area Park Police, and the Longwood Community Center. The event is the first Tuesday in August and is held in the Olney Town Center parking lot from 5:00-8:30. The event will feature police and fire department exhibitions, free child photo id cards curtesy of the Secret Service, childrens games and crafts provided by the Longwood Community Center, local business exhibits, food, music and more. Funds raised from the event will benefit the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department, the Olney Satellite Police Station, and the Park Police.
